Nice to meet you!
I am Peter Danis, hater of greenhouse gasses. My hope is that by the end of a long career in decarbonization, CO2 will hate me too.
PHCO2 serves as my outlet to write on energy and climate topics I find interesting, stay abreast on VC activity, and continue to meet wonderful people doing impressive things.
My education and experiences along the way have shaped my views on this topic. From an engineering undergrad I gained comfort in math, physics, and chemistry – core to any decarbonization solutions that lay ahead of us. My time in manufacturing and industrials fostered a great appreciation in the complicated systems that go on behind the scenes to ensure civilization has ample energy and materials. From business school and strategy consulting I have learned how to attack business problems head on and think about the bottom line. And from climate tech venture capital I was exposed to the cutting edge of technology, lofty ideas, and how to grow companies.
Please enjoy my writing and feel free to spread the word of my pro bono startup support.
Cheers,
Peter
